bought two of this for my iMac computer...I was chasing between this older screener and the newer halo version. I was glad that I chose this one because this one was cheaper and I didn't need a battery operated remote control on my desk for adjusting the lamp. The remote control has got to be somewhere near the lamp for auto brightness detection purpose anyway. The only advantage of the halo version is slightly less cable to mess around on the desk and thus make the table look neater. But is would be much better if the remote control is solar powered...no need to change battery forever...
